TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions – as may be amended from time to time – apply to all our services directly made available online, by email or by telephone, fax, chat... By accessing, browsing and using our website and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below:
1/ The occupancy concept of room type with its bed (s) set up:
- Single use: one double bed for 1 person staying
- Double use: one double bed for 2 people sharing
- TWIN use: two separated beds for 2 people
- Double bed size: 1,6mx2m and Single bed size 1,2mx2m
- A Double use or TWIN use room or the others booked is not applicable and accepted for a foreigner man (including Vietnamese overseas) and Vietnamese lady sharing, unless there is any of proof for marital status such as marriage certificate is presented).
2/ METHODS OF RESERVATION
You can use one of the following methods to reserve room at our Golden Star Hotel.
- Fill in and transmit a reservation form on our website.

3/ To GUARANTEE for booking
You will be asked to guarantee for your room booking/ tour booking/ bus ticketing/ air-lines ticketing (booking through email, phone, fax, chat)…with a valid CREDIT CARD including necessary information such as card type (Visa and Master only accepted); card holder name, card number and expiry date at the time of booking. Where a cancellation is not made in accordance with our applicable cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you for the first night's accommodation; and full charge for other services against the guest's credit card without prior notice or approval of the guest, where applicable.
4/ PREPAYMENT required
For online ROOM booking through this site, prepayment for the first room(s) night is required. The remains value (balance due payable at the hotel) is settled upon checking in.
5/ CANCELLATION POLICIES
We operate a cancellation policy and reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for cancellations on the following basis:
- NO SHOW customer is charged a penalty of 1 night stay for whole booking made. Any of PREPAID AMOUNT credited is NON-REFUNDABLE in case of NOSHOW (or failure not check in)/ late cancellation/ late amendment or modification (reducing period/ becoming shorten compared with the original booking confirmed finally; room type downgraded; person (s) occupancy in one room decreased); and the agreed rate of the first night's stay will be charged.
- Canceling for room reservation made less than 48 hours prior to the check in time and date will be charged 50% of 1 night stay of the whole booking made.
- Canceling for room reservation made less than 24 hours prior to the check in time and date will be charged the equivalence of 1 night stay of the whole booking made.
- For cancellation policies on corporate arrangements, please refer to individual contracted terms and conditions.
- CHARGE BACK to guest account: will be completed within one month after a valid and appropriate cancellation made accordingly with the terms and conditions.
6/ CHECKING IN policy:
The check in time is required after 14:00 PM (afternoon). Check in early (after 10:00 AM) will be subject to our Hotel availability. If guest arrive at the midnight till dawn and before 10:00 AM, please be advised that guest should book room (s) one night before for an instant checking in. Check in earlier compared with the required time is subject to the extra fee charged. Normal check in time will be applied in case that we have no room available for this inquiry. Guest (s) is required to present the passport (s) and necessary documents (including online booking confirmation, email booking confirmation…) for checking in process.
7/ CHECKING OUT policy:
The check out time is required before 12:00 PM (noon time). Check out late will be subject to the hotel availability. In case of having room available, guest will be informed the extra fee for holding room till an appropriate time of leaving. Price applied for checking out late excluding breakfast. The hotel IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for any of guest’s item (s) left behind in the room and inside of any facilities (pillow case/ under mattress/ dustbin/ safety box/ drawers/ closet…) upon checking out. For this, please check your belongings carefully to ensure that you don’t left anything behind. The left things may be taken away for clearance. Things found accidentally and kept temporarily at LOST and FOUND without inquiry to take it back are cleared once a month.
LATE CHECK OUT Charge:
- From 12:00 noon to 15:00 : additional 20% room rate
- From 15:00 to 18:00 : additional 50% room rate
- After 18:00 : additional 100% room rate
8/ HOTEL PAYMENT TERMS
- EXCHANGE RATE applied for PAYMENT: SERVICES (including accommodation, mini-bar, laundry, telephone, tour booking, bus ticketing…) are QUOTED in US dollars. Please be advised to settle your bill in CASH of USD to save the exchanged money of fee. You can pay in Vietnam Dong, Euro, Pound, CAD, AUD and SGD. The currency exchange rates are subject to daily rate of Vietcombank (our official bank); and based on the SELLING RATE (currently, it will be 22,500 VND/1 USD), a currency exchange FEE may applied.
- We also welcome payment by any of the following methods:
- Bank transfer (Note that all bank charges on money transfers are to be paid by the sender.)
- Major Credit card including VISA, MASTER, JCB (currency exchanged fee will be applied from 3.0%).
9/ The HOTEL REGULATIONS for HOTEL GUESTS to follow
The hotel regulations which is informed to guest (s) upon checking in (or posted up at the reception counter and in guest room) have been established to ensure guest (s) safety and comfort during your time at the Golden Star Hotel. The guest is responsible for infractions; therefore, we hope the guest (s) comply with these regulations strictly.
10/ LUGGAGE ROOM
For hotel guest’s convenience, we are pleased to offer a place to leave temporarily some luggage during a short time out of HCMC for traveling. Maximum time to keep guest’s bags in this service is below 5 days. It is FOC service. We are NOT responsible for the status of guests’ bags (such as color, shape, old, new...); and NOT responsible for any item inside the luggage left. Guest is advised to make a deposit at reception for special items kept safely. Guest has to take a receipt which is issued by the receptionist in charge. Please also check the terms and conditions of the luggage room usage. The items prohibited in the hotel including animals or birds, items with strong, offensive odor; ignitable or inflammable material; material with great bulk; any items prohibited by Vietnamese law are also not to be stored.
11/ CHILDREN’S POLICY:
- A child under 6 years old is offered a FOC on accommodation and breakfast (sharing a double bed in room with parents/ at double room)
- Upgrade charges apply for larger rooms
- To accommodate a family in our guest bedrooms, in some cases a foldaway bed will be used. Should you require a cot, please ask at the time of booking.
- Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure that the children's behavior is appropriate for other guests within the Hotel.
12/ BEHAVIOR
The Hotel reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behavior of Clients, guests or representatives, who must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the Hotel. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the Hotel may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.
13/ FEEDBACK
If you want to share anything about your Golden Star Hotel experience with us, then we’d love to hear from you. Here’s how, either complete a guest comment card/ FEEDBACK and leave it with Reception or write to the key people through email of the general manager at info@goldenstarhotel.vn Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at one of our hotels should be made in the first instance to the hotel managers at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved timely.
14/ PEST CONTROL
We group are strictly proceeding and following the process of hygiene crash program including periodic pest control, wipe harmful animals out, environmental and epidemic prevention during daily, weekly and monthly maid service to ensure the standardized service for hotel guest’s most safety, comfort and convenience. Under some conditions of humid weather or the status of some guests’ luggage or bags traveled from various areas including places having bug epidemic, there are some unexpected cases truly out of our control. The only reliable way to ensure beg bug don’t spread into the hotel, we are very pleased to help our hotel guests from the places having bug epidemic to proceed a special defensive measure on the luggage, suitcases or clothe. Please protect you by checking them carefully before checking in room. Thank you very much for your great corporation.
15/ GENERAL
ASTON HOTEL - SAIGON make every attempt to ensure that information supplied on WWW.GOLDENSTARHOTEL.VN and our booking sites is up to date, but cannot guarantee the accuracy of information or availability of bookings. For dispute, these terms will be construed in accordance with VIETNAMESE law and the Hotel and GUESTS submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the VIETNAMESE courts.
16/ WEBSITE INFORMATION
The Hotel cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to cancel, amend or vary the details featured in this website without notice. The information contained in this website is provided in good faith.
17/ WEBSITE SECURITY
Booking online through our website is safe. Security of our website is paramount and we have invested a great deal of time and money to ensure you can have the peace of mind that your details are secure.
18/ FOREIGNER & VIETNAMESE CITIZEN.
Under Vietnamese law, a guest who is not a Vietnamese citizen cannot share a room with a Vietnamese citizen without proof of marriage to each other. Otherwise, a second room must be booked.
